The Railway Protection Force (RPF) have recovered a total of 205 mobile phones, valued at ₹62.91 lakh, using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) Portal.

K. Arul Jothi, Inspector General, RPF Southern Railway, personally handed over the recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners. He said by leveraging the CEIR portal, the RPF successfully traced devices that had been reported missing across various locations. The owners, traveling from different regions to collect their devices, expressed their sincere gratitude to the RPF.

The RPF encourages passengers who miss their mobile phones during a train journey to report the incident immediately through Rail Madad Portal, Rail Madad Mobile App, helpline number: 139.
