March 9 (UPI) -- The San Francisco 49ers agreed to a three-year contract with wide receiver Mike Evans, sources familiar with the agreement told UPI on Monday.
The pact, which is worth up to $60.4 million, will end the veteran pass catcher's decorated 12-year tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Evans, 32, joined the Buccaneers as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He totaled at least 1,000 yards per season for a record-tying 11 consecutive years from 2014 through 2024.
Evans caught a career-low 30 passes for 368 yards and three scores last season, when he missed nine games due to a broken collarbone and concussion.
The six-time Pro Bowl selection and 2020-21 Super Bowl champion is the Buccaneers' franchise leader in catches, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and points.
