March 9 (UPI) -- The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $45 million with former Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, a source familiar with the deal told UPI on Monday.

The Super Bowl LX MVP will receive $28.7 million in guarantees through the pact, which features an average base salary of $14.35M.

The 5-foot-9. 211-pound ball carrier, who was a second-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2022 NFL Draft, totaled a career-high 1,309 yards from scrimmage with five touchdowns over 17 starts last season.

Walker, 25, rumbled for 417 yards from scrimmage and four scores in the postseason, including 161 yards in the Seahawks' Super Bowl LX win over the New England Patriots.

Running backs Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco, the Chiefs' two leading rushers from 2025, are headed for free agency. Brashard Smith is the only Chiefs running back from 2025 who remains under contract in 2026.
