March 9 (UPI) -- A suspect was under arrest in Los Angeles on Monday after gunfire from an assault rifle was directed toward the home of pop star Rihanna in the Beverly Hills Post Office district of the city.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that a woman in her 30s had been taken into custody following the Sunday lunch-time incident in which between 5 and 7 shots were fired at the property.
Police said the shots fired from a vehicle across the street struck the front gate, a wall and a RV, but not the house itself. No one was hurt.
A law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was home at the time.
The suspect's white Tesla was spotted by a police helicopter and pursued to a shopping mall in Sherman Oaks where she was arrested around 30 minutes later.
