RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency KSrelief has carried out charitable work worth almost $1 billion to benefit women, the organization said on Monday.
More than 233 million women have benefited from the 1,244 projects that were worth $946,299,000, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The announcement was made after organizations in Saudi Arabia and around the world marked International Women’s Day on Sunday.
One aspect of KSrelief’s charitable work benefits young men and women with vocational and professional training programs in Yemen.
These have equipped young people with the skills needed to enter the labor market, creating real employment opportunities and contributing to local economic recovery.
