Fox News admitted to showing an old clip of President Donald Trump at a dignified transfer — one that did not show him in a white baseball cap with “USA” written on it.
On Saturday, Trump attended the dignified transfer of six U.S. military members who were killed in the war with Iran. His choice to wear a white baseball cap at the transfer was called “shocking” and “disgraceful,” and Trump was accused of having “no sense of dignity.”
Fox News acknowledged the “mistake” during Sunday’s episode of “Fox and Friends.”
“We inadvertently aired video from an older dignified transfer instead of the ceremony that took place yesterday,” “Fox and Friends Weekend” co-host Griff Jenkins said. “We deeply regret the error and extend our respected condolences to the service members’ families.”
In a statement to HuffPost, a Fox News Media spokesperson said they regret the error.
