March 8 (UPI) -- Pop music star Harry Styles unexpectedly dropped by this weekend's edition of Saturday Night Live as actor Ryan Gosling was performing his monologue as guest host.
Styles, who is slated to guest host the sketch-comedy show next weekend, sat in the front row, smiling and wearing a T-shirt that said, "I hate you," on it.
When Gosling nervously pointed him out, the crowd cheered.
As the actor tried to go on with his philosophical musings about space and man's relevance compared to it, the camera moved to capture Styles' reaction.
"I'm sorry. Why are we on Harry Styles?" Gosling asked.
