Maharashtra Chief Minister, who is holding the portfolio of Finance, Devendra Fadnavis presented the Budget for 2026-27 on Friday (March 6, 2026).
In a big announcement in the Budget, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced loan waiver for farmers. He said “Till September 3, 2025, loan of up to ₹2 Lakh will be waived off under Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar farmers’ loan waiver Scheme.”
While presenting Budget, Mr. Fadnavis also paid tributes to the passing away of former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

In his Budget speech, Maharashtra Chief Minister said that Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will continue.
