In response to the ongoing massive bombings by Israel and the United States on its territory, Iran has carried out multiple, continuous strikes. Since February 28, Tehran has been launching drones and missiles at America's many bases in the region and at Israel. The attacks have also hit other countries, including Gulf monarchies and even European countries like Cyprus.
Evidence is not available to confirm all of the strikes claimed by the parties involved. However, images from the ground, located and verified by Le Monde and several online users (particularly members of the Geoconfirmed community), as well as photos taken by satellites in recent days, show that the Iranian response has hit a variety of targets, including military, civilian and economic sites.
American military bases
On the very first day of the war, Iran targeted American infrastructure. The strikes on the Manama base in Bahrain were particularly dramatic. A command center for the US Fifth Fleet was directly hit by several munitions on February 28: at least one missile and a Shahed drone, according to the videos below.
Satellite images from March 1 show a big rectangular building with a lot of damage to the roof. Two dark shapes appeared where large white spheres housing communications equipment previously stood.
