Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, whose four-year tenure witnessed a tumultuous period and a constant confrontation with the State government, has been transferred to West Bengal. He was appointed as the Governor of Tamil Nadu on September 18, 2021.
A Rashtrapathi Bhavan press release said Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala would discharge the functions of Governor of Tamil Nadu.
Sources said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has been informed by the Union Government about the change.

R.N. Ravi’s transfer was announced on Thursday (March 5, 2026) by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a post on X.
