The Health department has readied the MeHEALTH mobile application which will help users easily access all information about the public health-care facilities nearby and the services available in these institutions

Health Minister Veena George said in a statement here that through the app, users can find all details of nearby hospitals, specialty departments and services, laboratory tests as well as the rates of each of the tests and services on offer.

Information regarding blood banks, paywards, radiology services, and pharmacies in hospitals can also be accessed. The public can also book appointments in advance in hospitals where the e-Health project has been implemented.

The details of Janakeeya Aarogya Kendrams in an area (formerly known as subcentres), government homoeopathy hospitals, and Karunya pharmacies are also made available.

Ms. George said these facilities, which would find wide use amongst the public, were enabled by the “Nearby Services” option in the MeHEALTH app.
