Prominent MAGA voices are taking issue with President Donald Trump’s reported decision to endorse Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in a competitive primary, citing concerns with the lawmaker’s ideological bona fides.

On Wednesday, Trump stated that he intends to make an endorsement “soon” in the Texas contest, which is headed to a May runoff between Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Per a report from The Atlantic, the president is expected to back Cornyn.

Right-wing personalities, such as Mike Cernovich and Sara Gonzales, were among those who weren’t pleased with the reported decision.
