March 4 (UPI) -- The Dallas Cowboys restructured the contracts of Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and left guard Tyler Smith, a league source told UPI on Wednesday.
With the move, the Cowboys are set to clear about $66 million in salary cap space. The Cowboys were about $55 million over the $301.2 million cap before the restructures.
Prescott, 32, signed a four-year, $240 million contract extension with the Cowboys in 2024. Lamb, 26, signed a four-year, $136 million extension in 2024. They both restructured those deals last off-season. Smith, 24, signed a four-year, $96 million extension in September.
The Cowboys, who placed the franchise tag on wide receiver George Pickens this off-season, have until July 15 to sign the wide receiver to a long-term contract, which would create more space to spend.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said last week that he also plans to rework the deals of defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark and Osa Odighizuwa.
