U.S. Treasury yields were higher on Wednesday as investors continued to monitor the Middle East conflict and looked ahead to more economic data.
At 6:37 a.m. ET, the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rose over 2 basis points to 4.084%. The 30-year Treasury bond also added more than 2 basis points at 4.732%. The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was up 2 basis points to 3.52%.
One basis point is equal to 0.01%, and yields and prices move in opposite directions.
The U.S.-Iran war has remained in focus, as investors worry about a spike in oil prices, which could cause inflation to surge in turn.
