President Donald Trump announced the United States is launching “major combat operations” against Iran alongside Israel, describing the military action as aimed at forcing political change within the Iranian regime.

At least 53 people were killed when an Israeli strike hit an elementary school in southern Iran early Saturday, according to the BBC, with Iran launching a counter strike at the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain.
