NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- The Office, Parks and Recreation, Sunny and Angie Tribeca actress Rashida Jones says her new film In the Blink of an Eye emphasizes the importance of living in the moment.
Premiering Friday on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, the live-action drama was helmed by Pixar scribe Andrew Stanton, who also directed Wall-E and Finding Nemo.
In the Blink of an Eye shows how little human nature has really changed over three separate timelines -- prehistoric, contemporary and futuristic.
Jones and Daveed Diggs play Claire and Greg, college academics who fall in love, despite distance, busy work schedules and family obligations.
"It's hard to live in the modern world because we have access to so much information about things that are going on everywhere else. Some of them are consequential and some of them are really hard to listen to and don't impact our day-to-day lives," Jones, 50, told UPI in a Zoom interview Tuesday.
