Horrifying moment car loses control on icy road and plows into state trooper

This is the horrifying moment that a car loses control on an icy road and ploughs into a New York state trooper. Bodycam footage released by New York State Police on Tuesday (24 February) shows trooper Bailey Martin talking with another trooper on the side of the road when the vehicle slides towards Martin, knocking her over before smashing into her patrol car. The other trooper quickly rushes to help Martin. She was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center for further evaluation. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has since returned to duty. The occupants of the civilian car were evaluated at the scene. They sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined further medical treatment. Driver Colin M. Wanat, 21, told troopers he missed the stop sign because of sun glare.
