Katherine Hartley Short, the daughter of actor Martin Short, has died. She was 42.In a statement sent to media outlets on Tuesday, the Short family confirmed her death but did not elaborate on the cause.“It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short. The Short family is devastated by this loss, and asks for privacy at this time.”Short graduated from New York University in 2006 and was a licensed clinical social worker in Los Angeles, USA Today reported. Martin Short, the star of “Only Murders in the Building” and a former “SNL” cast member, previously dealt with the death of his wife, Nancy Dolman, in 2010. Dolman and Short were married for 30 years before she died of ovarian cancer.
