The Pima County Sheriff's Department in Arizona is pulling back from providing daily updates on the Nancy Guthrie case as the search for "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mom continues.

The sheriff's department on Feb. 24 said in its latest statement that although it has been distributing media updates almost every day since Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, "at this time, we will limit further updates to instances when new information warrants release."

"The Pima County Sheriff's Department and the FBI continue to work around the clock on this investigation and are actively pursuing all viable leads," the department added.

The development came on the same day Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for any information leading to her mother's recovery. Nancy Guthrie has not been seen since Jan. 31, and authorities believe she was taken from her home against her will.
