UNSC condemns RSF attacks in Sudan’s Kordofan, calls for an end to the war

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has expressed “deep concern” over escalating violence across war-torn Sudan, including in Darfur and Kordofan states, calling for an immediate end to the fighting.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the UNSC denounced repeated drone attacks against non-combatants, civilian facilities, and humanitarian workers, including “multiple attacks impacting” the World Food Programme (WFP).
