INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The Las Vegas Raiders expect to keep defensive end Maxx Crosby in 2026, general manager John Spytek told reporters at the NFL scouting combine Tuesday in Indianapolis.

Crosby, who signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension with the Raiders in 2025, totaled 44.5 sacks over the last four seasons.

"Maxx is an elite player and I've been very upfront from the start when I got here that we're in the business of having really good players on the team, and we need a lot more of them," Spytek said at the Indianapolis Convention Center. "It's hard to build a great team without elite players."

Crosby, 28, joined the Raiders as a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The five-time Pro Bowl selection led the NFL in tackles for a loss in 2022 and 2023. He logged a career-high 14.5 sacks in 2023 and 10 quarterback takedowns in 2025.

Spytek said he maintains "a great relationship" with Crosby, including frequent phone calls and text message exchanges.
