On Feb. 19, the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested and questioned on accusations of misconduct in public life for allegedly providing Jeffrey Epstein with sensitive trade secrets.

Despite King Charles officially stripping Mountbatten-Windsor of his royal titles, the former prince is still eighth in line for the throne. It would take an act of parliament, with the support of all the Commonwealth countries, to officially remove him from the line of succession.

The British government is considering legislation to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the royal line of succession, according to the BBC.

Mountbatten-Windsor has previously denied any misconduct. But following the U.S. Justice Department's release of most recent set of Epstein files, which featured a picture of the former prince kneeling on his hands and knees over an unnamed woman on the ground, he has remained silent.
