The Shevach couple has created a thriving therapeutic goat farm and boutique dairy. Ile Shevach utilizes goat therapy to aid at-risk youth and individuals with PTSD and autism, while her partner Tzahi crafts artisanal cheeses
The goat pen in Kfar Ruppin is bustling with life. This winter, a kidding cycle for half the herd resulted in 27 new offspring and the herd reached a record 81 goats in total. "When we began to breed the herd there were only four goats, and to this day every birth is a cause of great excitement," says Ile Shevach, at the entrance to the farm she started with her husband Tzahi on the ruins of an old cowshed yard, where the cows used to wait for their turn in the milking parlor.
