Whoopi Goldberg has addressed her name appearing in the files released by the Department of Justice on Jeffrey Epstein, saying in part, "I wasn't his girlfriend."

During the Feb. 17 episode of "The View," the EGOT holder said she's "getting dragged" over an email correspondence between Epstein and a redacted sender mentioning Goldberg seeking a private plane.

"In the name of transparency, my name is in the files," Goldberg said as a copy of the email was shown on screen.

The correspondence, which is dated May 8, 2013, says in part, "Whoopi Goldberg needs a plane to get to Monaco. John (sic) Lennon's Charity is paying for it. They don't want to charter so they are looking for private owners."

The redacted sender goes on to detail an event that month in Monaco hosted by the White Feather Foundation, an environmental and health conservation group founded by musician Julian Lennon.
