Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Ray Romano is talking about his Broadway debut.

The Everybody Loves Raymond alum opened up about his performance in All Out on Today Monday.

He will take the stage for three weeks with three other actor-comedians before they are replaced by new cast members.

"Over the years I've been offered a couple of Broadway things and I never really had the courage to do a full play that runs for months. This seemed like the perfect little introduction to Broadway," Romano explained.

He said he was also influenced to take on the project after reading The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes.
