MILAN — Ilia Malinin's breakdown during the free skate portion of the men's single figure skating competition is one of the craziest things to happen at the 2026 Winter Olympics so far. Malinin, the "Quad God," who was supposed to easily sweep the field of 24 to win a gold medal, fell multiple times and bailed on other elements to finish in eighth place. How? Why?
