Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A remake of the original God of War trilogy and a game based on the the John Wick film series were announced during PlayStation's latest State of Play showcase.
The event was livestreamed on PlayStation's official YouTube channel Thursday and included other announcements for new games coming in 2026 and beyond.
PlayStation closed the show with the big God of War announcement, which will be full remakes of 2005's original God of War, 2007's God of War II and 2010's God of War III, hailing from PlayStation's Santa Monica Studio.
It remains unclear if the remakes will be released together or separately.
Santa Monica Studio also announced and suddenly released God of War: Sons of Sparta, a 2-D action platformer that was available to purchase from the PlayStation Store immediately following the show.
