Simon had denied it for years and initially claimed to be a victim of identity theft before admitting guilt, The Guardian reported. The French ski federation also levied a 15,000 euro fine (almost $18,000) and a six-month ban from competition with five months suspended, which allowed Simon to compete in World Cup races and in Milan Cortina.“I can’t explain it.
