The season is mostly a snooze so far — we'll have a post later this week. However, the first episode ends with a scary cliffhanger that immediately reminded me of one of my favorite shows on TV right now: "The Pitt."The last lines of the episode are: "Oh my god! What do I do? F--k!" Then, Episode 2 opens with contestant Elissa returning from the hospital. Apparently, she picked up a bottle of nail glue, thinking it was eye drops, and put it in her eye."When we got to the hospital, they hooked up an IV bag with tubing and just sat here and flushed my eye," Elissa, who is a nurse in Ohio, said on the show. "The guy was getting the glue out. It was so awful. I can’t believe I did that."Cue "The Pitt.' In Season 2, Episode 4, one patient comes in with her eye glued shut because she used super glue to secure her fake eyelashes on her eyelids. The patient, who coincidentally is portrayed by actor Elysia Roorbach, has her eyelashes cut off after Javadi (Shabana Azeez) suggests the procedure.I never could've imagined that these two shows would mimic each other, but it goes to show how much "The Pitt" captures real life."The Pitt" airs new episodes on Thursdays on HBO. "Love Is Blind" is streaming on Netflix.See All UpdatesClose
