Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Firefighters in Britain learned the job "isn't always glamorous" when they were called to rescue a cow trapped in deep, sticky mud.
The Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said on social media that crews from Keswick, Penrith and Workington responded Friday "to a report of a cow in need of rescue after becoming trapped in mud near Threlkeld."
The crews worked together with a veterinarian, a large animal rescue team and the cow's owner to get the bovine back to sold ground.
