Former ABC News Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton ripped CBS News’ longevity influencer Dr. Peter Attia, who is facing intense scrutiny over his apparent connection to convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein. Ashton has also boycotted future CBS appearances, questioning why Attia still has a job there.

“This has nothing to do with politics. This has to do with moral right and wrong,” Ashton said Friday in an Instagram post. “I believe that a doctor should be held to a higher moral standard than the average layperson.”

Attia, a Stanford-trained influencer and podcaster in the wellness space who, as Ashton notes in her post, has neither finished a residency nor is board-certified, was named one of CBS News’ latest 19 contributors assigned to appear as experts on the network.

However, shortly after CBS News announced his new role within the network, the Department of Justice released its latest batch of Epstein files, which contained lewd, boorish email exchanges between him and Epstein.

“Pussy is, indeed, low-carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content, though,” Attia wrote in one email.
