Feb. 6 (UPI) -- James Taylor is opening up about his favorite songs from his catalogue.
The music legend, 77, shared his top five James Taylor tracks when he stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday.
"Paul McCartney got in touch with me at one point..." Taylor recalled. "He commented on a song that I had written, said he really liked it, that he bought the album because of it, so that's got to go in there. That's called 'Mean Old Man.'"
The song appeared on his album October Road.
"I know that Bruce Springsteen liked my song and performed it once," he added, referring to "Mill Worker," from the album Flag.
