The corrupt Left Democratic Front rule (LDF) in Kerala has not spared even Ayyappa, while the United Democratic Front (UDF) is openly hobnobbing with communal outfits such as the Jamaat-e-Islami and the Indian Union Muslim League, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin has said.
Mr. Nabin was addressing a meeting of booth-level party workers from Ernakulam and Alappuzha districts at Angamaly on Friday. He claimed that temples in Kerala were being targeted and that even Ramayana recitals were not being permitted. He accused both the LDF and the UDF of being intent on destroying Sanatan Dharma and asserted that the BJP would ensure punishment for those accused in the Sabarimala alleged gold theft case.
He further alleged that Kerala had become the headquarters of the Popular Front of India (PFI), with over 50,000 activists and more than 140 offices from which the outfit spread terrorism across the country. It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, who halted the alleged terror outfit by banning it in 2022.
Mr. Nabin praised BJP workers for keeping the party’s flag flying in the State despite adverse circumstances and for ending the LDF’s 45-year-long rule in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation by installing the party’s Mayor in the capital. He noted that the BJP’s vote share had progressively risen to 20% and described the forthcoming Assembly election as a crucial turning point for change.
