U.S. Treasury yields were lower on Friday as investors continued to assess the state of the American economy.

At 5:37 a.m. ET, the 10-year Treasury yield was down less than 1 basis point to 4.204%, and the 30-year Treasury yield was also less than 1 basis point lower at 4.856%. The 2-year Treasury note yield was flat at 3.483%.

One basis point is equal to 0.01%, and yields and prices move in opposite directions.

On Friday, investors will be monitoring the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index, which is due to be published at 10 a.m. ET.
