LONDON: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, ahead of critical nuclear talks with the United States.
During the call on Wednesday, they discussed the importance of resolving differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, as well as the efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Regional powers have pushed for talks, scheduled for Friday in Oman, between Iran and the US to reach an agreement regarding Tehran’s nuclear program and prevent another escalation in the region.
In an X post on Wednesday, Araghchi wrote: “Nuclear talks with the United States are scheduled to be held in Muscat on about 10 a.m. Friday.
“I’m grateful to our Omani brothers for making all necessary arrangements.”
