Feb. 4 (UPI) -- The Dallas Mavericks agreed to trade Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards in an eight-player deal.
Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and the Dallas Morning News about the transaction on Wednesday.
The Mavericks agreed to send Davis and guards Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell and Dante Exum to the Wizards. The Wizards will send forwards Khris Middleton and Marvin Bagley III, guards A.J. Johnson and Malaki Branham, two first-round NBA Draft picks and three second-round selections to the Mavericks.
Davis, 32, is under contract for $58.4 million this season, but has a player option of $62.7 million next season. The 10-time All-Star and five-time All-NBA selection averaged 20.4 points per game this season, his lowest total since his 2012 rookie campaign.
