Government Attorney Tells Judge 'This Job Sucks,' Begs To Be Held In ContemptAn attorney representing the Trump administration told a federal judge Tuesday that “this job sucks” and that getting federal agents to comply with judicial orders was like “pulling teeth.” Within a day of those remarks, the attorney, Julie Le, had reportedly been reassigned to a new detail. “The system sucks, this job sucks,” Le reportedly told Jerry Blackwell, federal judge in the U.S. district court covering Minnesota, during a hearing focused on the federal government’s failure to comply with court orders concerning immigration detention. "I wish you would just hold me in contempt [of court] so I can get 24 hours of sleep,” Le reportedly said, added separately: “It takes 10 emails from me for a release condition to be corrected. It takes me threatening to walk out for something else to be corrected."Reports of Le’s courtroom meltdown came from FOX 9 and Lou Raguse of NBC affiliate KARE 11. NBC News subsequently reported that Le was "no longer detailed to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota" and that another attorney representing the administration at Tuesday’s hearing, Ana Voss, was “among those who have given their notices of resignation, according to a person familiar with the matter." The outlet noted that Le had been listed as a DHS attorney, and that court records showed she had been listed as a representative of the federal government on dozens of cases in recent weeks. Voss, the Minnesota Star Tribune noted, had recently written in a court document that she was unable to “effectively triage and review” all judicial orders. Le did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday, nor did the Department of Homeland Security. HuffPost was unable to reach Voss for comment. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota responded to questions with an automated message, saying it was “currently without a PIO,” or public information officer. After this post was published, an unnamed DHS spokesperson sent HuffPost the following statement:“The Trump administration is more than prepared to handle the legal caseload necessary to deliver President Trump’s deportation agenda for the American people.“No lawbreakers in the history of human civilization have been treated better than illegal aliens in the United States. Additionally, it should come as no surprise that more habeas petitions are being filed by illegal aliens—especially after many activist judges have attempted to thwart President Trump from fulfilling the American people's mandate for mass deportations."President Trump and Secretary Noem are now enforcing the law and arresting illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country, and reversed Biden's catch and release policy. We are applying the law as written. If an immigration judge finds an illegal alien has no right to be in this country, we are going to remove them. Period.”
