Please lower your big hat to half mast because the “Melania” documentary has been murdered by words.

On Monday, the Guardian published a correction to its already scathing review of first lady Melania Trump’s new Amazon-backed doc — and it’s pretty humiliating.

“The star rating for this film was corrected on 2 February 2026,” the correction begins. “A formatting issue led an earlier version to be awarded one star, when the reviewer’s intention was zero.”

Although most critics have panned the film directed by Brett Ratner — who was accused in 2017 of sexual harassment or misconduct by at least six women — Guardian contributor Xan Brooks’ review is particularly brutal.

In the review, which was originally published Friday, Brooks seems to have a lot of fun comparing Trump to some pretty unflattering figures like the kid-eating witch in “Hansel and Gretel” and Adolf Hitler’s longtime girlfriend and brief wife, Eva Braun.
