Fighting crime demands more than patrol cars. Without women's leadership you can't achieve prevention, security and social justice
Recently, we were moved by the announcement by the leaders of the Arab parties – United Arab List, Hadash, Ta'al and Balad – of their intention to run in the upcoming Knesset elections on a joint list. Indeed, it holds a great deal of hope – the recognition of rampant crime as an existential threat that requires political responsibility and unified action. Yet alongside that hope came a sense of loss, due to the complete absence of women from the event.
