The Indian Air Force (IAF) will participate in the Singapore Airshow 2026 with its renowned Sarang helicopter display team, flying the indigenously designed and manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv.According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), known for precision flying, close-formation manoeuvres and disciplined execution, the Sarang display highlights the operational versatility, agility and reliability of the ALH Dhruv across a wide range of missions.Asia’s premier biennial aerospace and defence exhibition, the Singapore Airshow 2026 is being held at the Changi Exhibition Centre from February 3 to 8, 2026. The event brings together global air forces, industry leaders and aviation stakeholders, showcasing advanced military and civil aviation platforms while fostering professional interaction, strategic dialogue and industry partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region, the MoD said.The airshow will feature flying displays by the Sarang helicopter team along with three other international teams. A static display of 37 aircraft will also be a key attraction of the exhibition.Established in 2005, the Sarang aerobatic team comprises five ALH helicopters. Over the years, the team has performed at several major international events, including the MAKS International Airshow in Russia (2021), Dubai Airshow (2021 and 2023), and the Bahrain International Airshow (2024), besides appearances at the Singapore Airshow in 2024 and 2026. The team also performs regularly at domestic events and has rendered valuable support during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.The participation of Sarang at the Singapore airshow underscores India’s growing aerospace capabilities and the global outreach of indigenous defence platforms.
