Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Lionsgate Movies is teasing the Michael Jackson biopic Michael ahead of its arrival in theaters April 24.
The music icon is portrayed by Jackson's real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, while Colman Domingo steps into the role of Joe Jackson.
The trailer released Monday shows a young Michael Jackson as he attempts to make a name for himself beyond the Jackson 5.
"I love my family, but I just wanna do my own thing," he says in the trailer. "Just have all these ideas in my head. Just got to get them out."
Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi and Miles Teller also star.
