Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A miniature donkey named Dolly Parton wandered away from her owner's farm in Michigan and was rounded up by Michigan State Police.
MSP Second District said on social media that troopers were dispatched to Holly Township, Oakland County, on Tuesday when Dolly Parton the donkey was reported to have exited her farm through a pasture gate that had been left open.
"Troopers canvassed the area and were able to locate Dolly taking a stroll along a roadway in the township and turn her over to her owners unharmed," the post said.
Jason Freeman, Dolly's owner, said the donkey had escaped about 8 p.m. alongside another donkey named Henry. Henry returned on his own around 9 p.m., but Freeman contacted authorities for help when Dolly remained on the lam.
