Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup set for strong female participation across UAE

ABU DHABI: The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has confirmed preparations are in place for the Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup at the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1

The championship will have top women athletes from clubs and academies in the UAE compete across multiple age categories.

The championship will have competitions in the 12 to 16 age categories on Saturday, and under-18 and adults on Sunday.

Yousef Abdullah Al-Batran, board member of the UAEJJF, said the competition is a “central part of the federation’s plan to further develop women’s jiu-jitsu.”
