The shooting deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis were tragedies. They could have been prevented. Emotions ran high on both sides. As usual, in hindsight, things could have been done differently by all involved.
If my life were being threatened every day, if strangers were showing up to my workplace screaming obscenities at me, blowing whistles, throwing objects, getting physically involved in my dangerous job and interfering with my job of arresting criminals, and seeing mobs acting this way? Yes, I'd try to save my life in that craziness.
This federal operation is happening in other states with no shootings. My opinion of arresting illegal criminals hasn't changed. What has changed is the observation of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz inciting his state to get involved in dangerous situations rather than calming them down and letting laws be followed to arrest criminals.

Where was this outrage when Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton deported many people without the craziness of their citizens? It was portrayed so differently, but it wasn't. They didn't have mobs of angry people interfering with them! And where is the moral outrage for the legal citizens that have been raped, wounded and murdered by illegal immigrants?
