Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Chelsea and winger Raheem Sterling agreed to a mutual split, ending his contract, the Blues announced Wednesday.
Sterling, 31, spent last season on loan at Arsenal. He joined the Blues in 2022 and had one year remaining on his contract. He is now a free agent.
"All eyes on the future," Sterling wrote on his Instagram story. "God is great."
Sterling totaled 19 goals and 12 assists over 81 appearances for the Blues. He last played for the Blues in 2024. His last competitive match for Arsenal was the Gunners' 2024-25 season finale.
"We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career," the Blues said in a statement.
