Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Patrick Reed will leave LIV Golf to return to the PGA Tour, he announced Wednesday.
Reed resigned from the PGA Tour to join the rival, Saudi-funded golf league in 2022. His decision to return to the PGA Tour came about two weeks after fellow golfer Brooks Koepka announced the same move.
The PGA Tour announced a returning member program on Jan. 12, the day of Koepka's return announcement. The program mandates limitations to tournament access and potential earnings for those who choose to return.
Officials said at the time that they believed the measures "hold returning members accountable for substantial compensation earned elsewhere."
