Apple CEO Tim Cook on Tuesday told his company’s employees he was “heartbroken by the events in Minneapolis,” adding he spoke with President Donald Trump on the matter, reports said, as he became the second major tech CEO to internally address the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota and the death of Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents.
Apple CEO Tim Cook called for "deescalation" in Minneapolis, where two people have been killed by federal agents this month.
The statements come as tech workers have urged executives, who've been largely quiet, to speak out on the subject.
