The S&P 500 climbed to a new all-time high and closed at a record on Tuesday as traders eagerly awaited earnings from major tech companies.
S&P 500 futures were near the flatline Tuesday night ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision and earnings reports from major tech companies.
Futures linked to the broad market index
were up less than 0.1%, while Nasdaq 100 futures
advanced about 0.2%. Dow Jones Industrial Average
futures slipped 25 points, or less than 0.1%.
More than 90 S&P 500 companies are slated to report quarterly results this week.
"Magnificent Seven" companies Meta Platforms, Microsoft and Tesla posted earnings results after Wednesday's close.
On Tuesday, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite slipped from the the records they notched a day earlier.
