It’s only the first month of the year, and Donald Trump has already forcibly removed a world leader and threatened to take over Greenland. But for astrologers, his most chaotic actions are yet to come. That’s because astrology, the art and science of investigating celestial placements in the sky, “tells [us] the energy that we’re born with,” said astrologer Lisa Stardust. “All of these elements give people their own unique DNA.”Astrologers make many of their predictions by interpreting Trump’s natal chart, which shows where the planets and stars were at the time of his birth, in order to tell the story of his life. In astrology-speak, the exact angles between constellations can be revealing. For example, it’s significant that Trump’s Leo rising sign is at 29 degrees to the eastern horizon, because that’s a “sensitive” placement, Stardust explained: “That’s why he can come across as being aggressive and kind of rushing through things and saying things that maybe he shouldn’t say.”For astrologers, the constellations moving in Trump’s chart can also foretell a lot about his ― and America’s ― year ahead. And unfortunately, they say, we’re in for a hell of a 2026.For one, Stardust said that Trump is at the beginning of his Uranus return, a rare transformative time when the planet moves back to the position it was in when he was born. This period often comes with relationship breakdowns and life disruptions. For Trump, this could mean “there is an instance for rebellion in his chart. So I think that he might have some issues with a lot of his colleagues and people that he’s close with,” Stardust said. In astrology, your natal chart is divided into 12 houses that each reflect a different aspect of your life. On Trump’s birthday ― June 14 ― his chart’s ninth house, which rules over foreign journeys and is often a time for educational lessons and spiritual gurus, becomes significant, said Liz Simmons, an astrologer. What makes Trump unique is that his ninth house is also ruled by Mars, a planet of action and aggression. “So we’re looking at, in his 80th year, war on those ninth house themes. So war on education, war on the world stages,” Simmons said. Illustration: Kelly Caminero/HuffPost; Photo: Getty ImagesTrump's February could set the tone for the rest of the year, astrologers said. If you’re looking for another important date, astrologers said we all need to pay attention to what could happen next month. On Feb. 17, there will be a solar eclipse that carries “revolutionary energy,” said astrologer Celeste Brooks, which is why, if she were giving Trump a reading, this would be the date she would call out as most significant. In astrology, the angles between different constellations can make or break your year. And for Trump, this eclipse happens when Leo, his rising zodiac sign, which rules his heart, is located opposite, or 180 degrees, from where it usually is and will be in Aquarius, which rules his circulation system. For Trump’s specific chart, this could be “a time when sometimes people die,” Brooks said. “You could go to the doctor on that exact day and find out you have some kind of health condition.” While “eclipses don’t cause events directly,” Brooks said, they could represent “symbolic themes connected to the heart and circulation.” On Feb. 20, Saturn and Neptune will also cross each other in the sky for the first time in decades, and this can have cosmic consequences because Saturn-Neptune energy is when “you can’t pretend anymore that you don’t see what’s right before your eyes,” Brooks said. “Saturn rules structures and Neptune dissolves them,” Brooks said. “The last time they met was in 1989, and the Berlin Wall fell... The Exxon Valdez oil spill happened... These cycles repeat every 36 years.”In Simmons’ view, February’s Saturn-Neptune energy dissolves structures and under Trump’s leadership, and “that could ... mean that we dissolve a boundary around war and go to war,” Simmons said. “It can also mean that he is dissolving something on the world stage,” citing the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as one recent example of this.In this way, Trump’s celestial energy is a problem for all of us.In February, we’re going to be getting “a huge wake-up call where we no longer can pretend the illusions of what we think the United States is,” Brooks said.
