AU College of Engineering appoints first woman principal

Prof. M. Sasi, a senior professor from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been appointed as the Principal of Andhra University College of Engineering, according to a release here on Saturday (January 24, 2026). Prof. M. Sasi makes history as the first woman Principal of the AU College of Engineering.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. G.P. Rajasekhar handed over the appointment orders to Prof. Sasi in the presence of Registrar Prof. K. Rambabu, and Deans Prof. K. Rajendra Prasad and Prof. K. Srinivasa Rao.

Prof. Sasi is also currently serving as the Convener for AP ICET.
